In person Service Update 7-14-20

Dear sangha members,

Thank you to those who joined us for our first in-person service on July 12. The support of our volunteers and the willingness of all attendees to abide by our safety protocols helped us successfully execute a socially distanced re-opening for our annual Obon service.

The Board met after service and decided to continue to re-open our doors once a month for now while we cautiously monitor COVID-19 trendlines in our region and add time between in-person services as another safety layer.

  • We will hold the monthly service on the first Sunday of each month and will continue to require reservations for each service to maintain proper social distancing measures. RSVPs for each service will be accepted in the week leading up to each service.
  • For all in-person services, we will continue to follow the safety protocols outlined in the documents on our website (www.ekoji.org).
  • We reserve the right to cancel any in-person services if increased community transmission in the region prompts renewed, more restrictive shelter-in-place guidelines.

We will continue to update our sangha members via email and will regularly update Ekoji’s website. We will also continue to post weekly virtual services and new educational programming on the website, and we remain active on our social media platforms. Please contact us at ekoji.info@gmail.com or 703-239-0500 if you have any questions or concerns.

We thank you for your continued support of Ekoji and look forward to seeing you again soon.

In gassho,

Rev. Hayashi and Ekoji’s Board of Directors
