THE GREAT JOURNEY OF BUDDHIST ART: INDIA, CHINA, JAPAN. An eight week course with Professor Sandy Kita. 7:00-8:30 pm. Through November 21. $10.00 lecture or all 8 lectures @$75.00. CHILDREN’S DHARMA SCHOOL. The Ekoji Buddhist Temple Children’s Dharma School welcomes students from ages 4-18. We strive to teach our students the basic teachings of Jodo Shinshu Buddhism, with the hope that when our students leave our temple for the world beyond, they will be able to articulate in their own words what Buddhism is and what it means to them. MONTHLY OASAJI SERVICE – Held on the 16th of each month. Next service will be Monday October 16 at 10:00 A.M. Oasaji is a memorial service held to honor our founder, Shinran Shonin. We chant. We offer incense. We sit in quiet reflection.

First Sunday of the Month (9:00-10:00 a.m.). Next cleanup will be on Sunday October 1 from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M.

Thursday Night Meditation Group. October 5 At 8:00 P.M. Temple Tours are conducted at 7:30 (optional). This beginner-friendly meditation program provides an opportunity for quiet centering. Newcomers are welcome to join any session. In the Temple (Hondo). Walking meditation in the garden, weather permitting. Light refreshments afterwards.

This informal group generally meets after service and refreshments for 30-45 mins. All are welcome. Discussions cover questions and comments regarding the weekly Dharma messages, the service, and other topics related to Buddhism
