Who we are:
We are Ekoji! We are you, the Sangha! Buddhism includes a sense of curiosity and so many years ago a few Ekoji Sangha members started acquiring books for sale to help people learn and experience more about Buddhism and specifically the Jodo Shinshu School of Buddhism. Over the years the available books have increased and some other items were added for Sangha members to purchase. About a year ago this area was given a name: Wisteria Lane Book & Gift Emporium through which these sales are channeled and books and other items acquired to be sold.
What we offer:
We currently offer a wide variety of book titles by a variety of Buddhist authors. There are educational titles, story-type readings and even meditation books. There are books for all ages. We also have other items – Onenju, pens, bookmarks, Mottainai (reusable grocery) bags … and the World Heart Squeezie (sure to become a collector’s item).
How to Purchase:
We do not currently have any on-line purchase options. The items are available at the entrance of the Ekoji Hondo. Payment can be made by check or cash and there are honor boxes for your payment. Sometimes we have raffles where Wisteria Lane Gift Certificates are the prize and they may also be purchased. They will have the denomination listed and spend just like cash. Just place the certificate in the Honor Box and, if possible, list your purchases on the certificate.
How to contact us:
If you are looking for a book and do not see it available let us know! There are some rather popular titles that we try to keep in stock but may not know there are none available unless you tell us! Also if you have heard of a title you would like to see us offer or have read a book you think might benefit others, let us know. We also welcome new gift ideas.
